Adults' collection

Print collections

Fiction

Our fiction collection is divided into two areas – general and westerns.

Recent releases (Ōtorohanga only)

These are housed beside the issue desk, and can be identified by the 'recent release' sticker on the front cover.

Large print

Collections of non-fiction and fiction are both available in large print format at both libraries.

Local history

The majority of these books are kept behind the counter. Please ask for access.

Māori collection

At Ōtorohanga, items regarding Māori culture and history are housed together. Look for the koro label on the spine.

Magazines

A fabulous and extensive collection of magazines covering a range of topics including lifestyle, fashion, gardening, cars, and more is available at both libraries.

Newspapers

Ōtorohanga Library has copies of the NZ Herald, Waikato Times and King Country News. Copies are kept for one week except for the King Country News, where back copies are kept for three months

Audio/visual collections

DVDs

Movies, TV programmes and documentaries, with a section for children.
