ANZAC Day

In accordance with the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that the Ōtorohanga District Council, for the purpose of holding the Anzac Day Commemorations, will close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder:

 

SUNDAY, 25 APRIL 2021

 

ŌTOROHANGA

STATE HIGHWAY 3 / MANIAPOTO STREET – from the northern entrance of Huiputea Drive to its intersection with Te Kanawa Street.

KAKAMUTU ROAD - from Maniapoto Street to its intersection with Turongo Street.

GRADARA AVENUE - from Kakamutu Road to its intersection with Summit Drive.

RANFURLY STREET - east end from its intersection with Maniapoto Street to end

COWLEY LANE – entire length

WAHANUI CRESCENT – entire length

WHITTINGTON LANE – entire length

Period of Closures:    5.45am to 6.45am and 9.45am to 10.45am

 

Detour will be by way of Huiputea Drive.

 

KĀWHIA

POUEWE STREET – from Kawhia Motors to Kāwhia Hotel.  Includes intersection with Jervois Street.

Period of Closure:      12.45pm to 1.45pm

 

Persons will be allowed through in the event of an emergency

 

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person, otherwise than under authority of an authorised permit, to use the roads for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.
