Free music and movement sessions for babies aged 0-2 years and their caregivers.

Join in every Friday during school terms, from 10.30am to 11.00am.

Storytime

Stories and songs for children of all ages.

Free half-hour sessions on Thursday mornings, from 10.30am to 11.00am, during the school term.

 

Primary School

Afterschool STEM programmes

Run throughout term time, the library runs a number of STEM programmes, places are limited and children must be registered. Programmes include

 Summer & Winter Holiday Reading Programmes

Our library offers themed reading programmes for primary aged children. Participation in these programmes is valued by parents as a means of maintaining children's literacy skills over the schools' break.

Adults

Book Discussion Group

Meets on the second Thursday of every month, from 1.30pm to 2.30pm in the library.

Enjoy lively, book-related discussion over afternoon tea.

Adult Reading Challenge

Runs from 5 June to 30 July

If you are 18+ sign up to be in for a chance to win weekly prizes or even win the Grand Prize.

How does the challenge work? 

  • Complete each challenge to be in the weekly draw to win a $20 grocery voucher and a coffee voucher.
  • Complete 7 of the 9 challenges to be in the final draw to win a pamper hamper.

How do I participate? 

  • Pop in to one of our two branches and grab a challenge card, or sign up on Beanstack to log your activities.

Challenge Terms and Conditions: 

  • The challenge begins on 5 June and ends 30 July.
  • To be considered for the weekly voucher draws you must complete 1 badge that same week
  • Books means: hard-copy books, eBooks and audiobooks.
  • The $20 grocery voucher and coffee voucher will be awarded to one person in the district per week.
  • The pamper hamper will be awarded to one person in the district at the end of the challenge period.

For those participating using the challenge card (from the library): 

  • To be in the draw to win a weekly prize, you must show the activity you completed on challenge card to your local library by the Friday of each week. You will receive as many entries into relevant draw as challenges you have completed.

For those participating via Beanstack:  

  • You will be automatically entered into the weekly draw once an activity has been completed.
  • We will review your challenges and if you have completed more than one challenge in that week, you will receive as many entries in the draw as challenges you have completed.
