PROPOSAL to Close Road - Kāwhia Rowing Regatta Club - 1 January 2025

Proposal to Close Road  

In accordance with the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that the Ōtorohanga District Council, for the purpose of allowing the Kāwhia Rowing Regatta Club 115th Annual New Years Regatta, proposes to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder: 

Wednesday 1st January 2025 

 From Kāwhia Community Centre on Jervois Street and including Omimiti Street, Kāwhia 

Period of Closures:6.00am to 5.00pm 

 There will not be any detour in place. 

 Access for emergency vehicles will be allowed in the event of an emergency. 

 Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of their objection and grounds thereof in writing before 4.00pm Friday 30th August 2024 at the offices of the Ōtorohanga District Council, 17 Maniapoto Street, Ōtorohanga or by contacting Andrea at [email protected]
