What Happens After You Provide Feedback?

Once a consultation closes, we begin the important work of reviewing all submissions. This feedback is considered alongside expert subject advice and other information to help inform Council decisions.

Here’s what happens next:

Review: Every submission is carefully reviewed
Decision-making: Your feedback is considered in the decision-making process
Presentation: The reviewed information is presented back to the Community Boards or Council, keep an eye out on our meeting agendas
Decisions: Any changes requested by the Community Boards or Council, are reviewed including how your input shaped the final decision
Update: We will inform you about the decisions the Community Boards or Council have made

We believe in transparency and want to keep you informed every step of the way. This process can take anywhere between two to 18 months depending on the impact or urgency of the subject. This could be measured on public safety and asset, financial, or environmental risk.
