Kāwhia Community Board Member Ken Briggs has resigned from his position due to ill health.
"Ken's dedication and work to make Kāwhia an even better place to live will be missed by the Kāwhia Community Board and the Kāwhia community”, said Dave Walsh Chair of Kāwhia Community Board.
"We thank him for his mahi in the Kāwhia community and we wish him all the best", he said.
Ken's resignation will trigger a by-election for his seat on the Kāwhia Community Board.
More information about the by-election, including the timeline, nomination, and voting process, will be on the Ōtorohanga District Council's website and Facebook pages in due course. Head to www.otodc.govt.nz for updates.
